Software Developer - IBM
Apr 2024 - Current

At IBM, I am part of a team with IBM Security that maintains their on-premise QRadar Soar. This involve:

  • Maintainence and improvement of its Playbook feature.
  • Triage and fix security issues associated with Python code and infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and roll out new internal tools to in-house developers.
Software Developer - BrowserStack
Aug 2021 - July 2023

My first role at BrowserStack was in the Production Engineering Team.

  • Handling support and ops tickets that affect customer experience.
  • Diagnose and solve problems with devices in production/regression environment.
  • Help support other departments with knowledge sharing and common questions about production issues.
  • Take part in sprint planning, retrospective meetings and various other agile activities to help keep our work environment agile.

After some time, I moved internally to the Mobile Infrastructure Team.

  • Handling support and ops tickets that affect developer experience.
  • Diagnose and solve problems with machines in production/regression/staging environments.
  • Provision new machines to production environment.
  • Help support other departments with knowledge sharing and common questions about company infrastructure.

Manual/Automation Tester - Davy

I worked at Davy for 6 months as part of my University Work Placement module.

  • Responsible for the planning, design and development of the new automated compatibility testing framework.
  • Responsible for the planning, design and development of the new automated compatibility testing framework.
  • Supporting in a number of core functional releases across Linux and web-based systems.
  • Participating SCRUM meetings, sprint review and poker planning sessions.
  • Responsible for Test planning, design and execution of key business initiatives.
Manual Tester - Fenergo
June 2019 - Sept 2019

I worked for Fenergo as part of a University pilot program to get students extra work experience that is not part of their degree.

  • Reviewing, writing, and running manual test suites via Excel and Microsoft Test Manager.

  • Attending and partaking in Agile based team meetings with multi time-zone teams.

  • Worked closely with project owners for accurate defect reporting and to ensure accurate testing requirements and guidelines

  • Participated in the Annual company Hackathon.

    Entry was a live analytics Microsoft Teams bot that gives managers accurate and up to date information on projects being discussed in daily or weekly agile meetings. Information was retrieved directly from TFS using Python and Microsoft’s WIQL

For my final year project I created a multi-lingual, multi-platform personal assistant that uses FaaS and PaaS with Docker, Python 3 and Rasa NLU framework to deliver daily information in the language of the user, distinguished by the users typed language, straight to their messaging app.
